Larnitech DE-MG - Main Gateway (Server). You always need this module as a base for every Larnitech installation.
The DE-MG is the main server inside your Larnitech Smart Home installation. You always need one DE-MG as a base for your Larnitech installation.
You need this DE-MG as a tool for the configuration of your Larnitech installatie. Besides that, the DE-MG takes care for the access of authorized users to your system; local or via the cloud. And he takes care for the conversion of the CAN-bus protocol to IP and vice-versa.
The DE-MG has a build-in infrared receiver; this unique tool allows you learn your own remote control on the Larnitech system.
The DE-MG also includes free Cloud access via our Cloud server in Germany. This gives you super-fast access to your home or office via the Internet. Without additional (monthly) costs. To operate your Larnitech installation outside your home or office, you don't have to setup anything on your router, modem or firewall for the use of our cloud environment: everything goes 'Plug and Play'. The only thing you have to do once is to request a (free) cloud account for the use of our Cloud environment. You do that with your email address and a password; you link them to the serial number of your Larnitech DE-MG server.
In addition, the DE-MG ensures complete encryption of access to your home. If you use our free Cloud server, the connection between the cloud and your DE-MG server is secured with a 2048 bit encryption.
If you use your own access to your Larnitech installation (for example with port forwarding) we use AES256 encryption to secure the connection.
So you do not need a VPN connection or other expensive hardware to secure access to your Larnitech installation.
You can also secure local access to your Larnitech installation. You do this with a 16-bit encryption key, which you can determine yourself.
In addition to excellent security of your Larnitech installation, you get a lot more:
- You have the possibility to create time clocks on each output of an actor (dimming or switching actuator). 1, 10 or 20: you can determine it. You can create time clocks that only switch on or off, or a certain period. Every day of the week, or certain days.
- You can create scenes of any combination of outputs of dimming or switching actuators. B.v. the scene 'sleep' (switch off all equipment, such as wall sockets, lamps, sprinklers). Or the scene 'evening' (the lighting in the garden and ground floor in the evening mode).
- You can easily add logic to your Larnitech installation (if you use sensors or magnetic contacts, for example). This DE-MG is also responsible for this. Click on 1 of the conditions when using a switching, dim or RGB output and your logic is defined!
In addition, the DE-MG server provides a free visualization of your entire Larnitech installation. Download the free app (for iOS, Android, Windows and Linux) and control your entire home or office from your phone, tablet or PC! Create your own spaces, and choose your own icons.
Also the entire control of your Larnitech installation with your own voice (voice control) is one of the things that the DE-MG arranges for you: Siri, Google Home and Alexa are all supported. The use of Siri is free even for the first 20 commands! Enough to make a number of scenes in your home operable with your own voice.
